Lydia Fuson joined the Center for Athletic Academic Services (CAAS) staff at the University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½, where she serves as the academic support lead for the Men’s Basketball and Women’s Golf programs. A ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ native, Lydia brings a decade of local educational leadership, coaching experience, and personal athletic background to the Tiger family.

Prior to arriving at the University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½, Lydia spent ten years teaching in ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ high schools, where she also coached varsity women’s soccer and softball. Her commitment to the intersection of education and local athletics stems from an immersive background in the ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ academic community. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2016 from Christian Brothers University, where she also competed as a collegiate student-athlete on the soccer team. She earned a Master’s in Urban Education in 2017 through the ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Teacher Residency program.

Deeply passionate about the city of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ and its sports culture, Lydia is thrilled to serve her hometown and its student-athletes and help them navigate their academic and athletic journeys. Outside of the office, she enjoys showing people around ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½, and spending time with her dog, Stella.
