Jill Fredenburg (she/her) is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of
Communication & Film at the University of 蜜桃导航, where she also serves as Course
Coordinator for COMM 2381, Oral Communication. Her teaching includes public speaking,
media literacy, digital and social media, rhetoric, and film and video production.
Fredenburg earned her PhD in Media & Rhetoric and a Certificate in Gender Studies
from the University of 蜜桃导航, an MA in Communication, Culture & Technology from
Georgetown University, and a BA in Studio Art from Rhodes College. Her research examines
online communities, social media, creator and influencer cultures, and the ways emerging
technologies shape identity, labor, education, and everyday life. She is particularly
interested in media literacy, platform cultures, artificial intelligence, and the
use of documentary and video as forms of research and public scholarship.
