Kristen Hill holds a BA in Film Studies from the University of Missouri and an MA in Communication with a concentration in Film and Video Production from the University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½. As an independent filmmaker, her work has been screened at domestic and international film festivals. Her film, Freedom's Village, received awards including Best Hometowner Short at Indie ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ and Best Short Film – North America at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival. Her work as a filmmaker informs her approach to teaching, allowing her to bring both academic study and professional, hands-on experience into the classroom.
