Lydia Gettings graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ with a BA in Communication in May 2019. She was a part of the Accelerated BA/MA program at the University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ which enabled her to begin coursework towards her MA in her senior year. In the Fall of 2019 she began pursuing an MA in Communication full time and is also a research assistant at the University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½.
Lydia has an interest in many research areas but has previously studied health communication primarily. Specifically, she spent her senior year studying the problematic patient-provider communication that sickle cell patients often experience in emergency departments.
Her personal interests include listening to audiobooks, playing guitar, and spending time with family and friends.
