Graduate students in biomedical engineering commemorated Biomaterials Day by holding a conference on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM in the Fishbowl in the FedEx Institute of Technology. The conference focused on materials science research for biomedical applications and featured graduate students and researchers from University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ as well as regional universities like Vanderbilt, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and St. Louis University. There were both oral presentations and poster presentations. Logan Boles, a master's student in biomedical engineering at the University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ said, "Biomaterials Day was a very fruitful event. It showcased research from several universities and industry professionals and provided a platform to grow your professional network. As a graduate student soon to be seeking employment, this occasion was the most useful event that I have attended at the University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½."
