ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Student Chapter of the Literacy Association of Tennessee (UMSCLAT) is part of the Literacy Association of Tennessee whichpromotes a literate society by bringing together a network of people dedicated to sharing knowledge and information about literacy through programs and services. 

What do students do as members?

As members of the organization, students engage in a variety of activities to promote literacy in ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ and the surrounding areas. Such activities include fundraising, organizing outreach programs, hosting book fairs, and volunteering with local schools.

Who can join?

All University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ students are welcome to join.  

Why should I join?

UMSCLAT is committed to promoting literacy through service and programming. Members increase community engagement and gain leadership and collaboration skills in the field of literacy.
