New apartment-style student housing is planned for the University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ campus
in the fall of 2026 thanks to a public-private partnership between the University
and The Annex Group, a national developer building innovative housing communities
at universities across the country.

Bruns Scholarship Challenge Fund Raises $3 Million, Creates Record-Breaking Number of Scholarships at UofM
The Bruns Scholarship Challenge fully matched $1 million to create 36 new scholarships, collectively raising $3 million in three years from alumni and friends of the University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½, the University announced today ahead of Giving Tuesday. ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ recently became the first Tennessee institution of higher education to participate in , giving students an accessible and equitable college enrollment experience. Common App is now available at 70 universities across the country, providing over 200,000 first-generation and low- and middle-income students who are college-interested with proactive admissions offers.

UofM Center for Information Assurance Receives $1M as Part of Cybersecurity Research Award from FEMA, DHS
As a core member of the National Cybersecurity Preparedness Consortium, the University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Center for Information Assurance has received $1 million as part of a larger grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security to conduct research on cybersecurity issues with a goal of developing workforce education resources for various industry sectors.
