Jazz Singers
The University Jazz Singers is the premier vocal jazz ensemble for The University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music. Under the direction of Dr. Jack Cooper, Jazz Singers consists of 10 to 15 vocalists and a rhythm section that performs a wide range of music from traditional arrangements of jazz standards to more contemporary fusion jazz.
Jazz Singers perform multiple times each semester throughout the Mid-South and at the annual ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Jazz Festival.
Jazz Singers is open to undergraduates through doctoral candidates by audition. Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester.
