Dr. Thompson came to the University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ in 1989 as an assistant professor in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures and has served in many roles. He was assistant dean of the College of Arts & Sciences (1999-2013) and the chair of the Department of World Languages and Literatures (formerly Foreign Languages and Literatures) (2014-2022).
