Hawaii 1993
In 1993, Hawaii University invited the seismic network group at the Center for Earthquake Research and Information (CERI), University of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ to jointly monitor the earthquake activity in the geothermal area at the East Rift Zone of Hawaii Island. CERI was sub-contracted from the Hawaii University and provided 74 short period, high- and low- gain PANDA (Portable Array for Data Acquisition) instruments between January 28 and April 9, 1993.
Led by Professor Jer-Ming Chiu, this project was supported partly by The CERI and the Hawaii University.
The network code was "XC" assigned by the Federation of Digital Seismographic Network (FDSN).
